Part 1 of 6. Issue #1 tells the story of the Prophet Lehi and his family as they flee the impending destruction of Jerusalem to find the Promised Land. Lehi’s son Nephi and his brothers are commanded to return to Jerusalem to obtain the Plates of Brass from the deadly and dangerous Laban, and to convince Ishmael’s family to join them in their journey. Laman and Lemuel rebel in the wilderness and attempt to kill Nephi who is delivered by the power of God.

The Tree of Life

Part 2 of 6. Issue #2 recounts how Lehi and Nephi see a vision of the Tree of Life. Lehi see’s the Iron Rod, the Tree of Life, and other symbols of life on Earth. Nephi also see's the Tree and it's meaning in the birth, life and ministry of Jesus Christ, and His visit to his people in the Ancient Americas, the future of Lehi's descendants, and the colonization of North America, the work of the devil to destroy God’s people, the bringing forth of records and scriptures to gather Israel in the last days, the restoration of Christ's Church and more.

Trouble in the Promised Land

Part 4 of a 6, Issue #4 tells of Lehi leaves his final words, prophecies, and blessings on his family before his death. Laman and Lemuel want to rule and plan to kill Nephi. Nephi flees with those who will follow him and founds the city of Lehi-Nephi. The Lamanites attack the Nephites. Nephi’s brother Jacob teaches of Jesus Christ and His atonement. Nephi teaches from the Prophet Isaiah about the birth and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the last days, the coming forth of the Book of Mormon, and the prophecies surrounding it’s publication. Issue #4 includes: 33 full color pages as well as 3 pages of commentary from Michael Allred.

Part 5 of a 6. Issue #5 tells of Nephi’s teachings on the need for baptism and why Christ was baptized. Nephi dies and Jacob begins keeping the records. Jacob teaches the people at the Temple and quotes the Allegory of the Olive Tree. The Lord of the Vineyard and his servant work with the Tame Olive Tree which has decayed to save it and preserve the tame/good fruit. The history of the family of Israel from 721 B.C. to the present is represented symbolically through visits and actions by the Lord of the vineyard with the Tame Olive Tree and the other trees in the vineyard (the world).

Part 6 of a 6. Issue #6 tells of Jacob’s confrontation with Sherem. Jacob dies and his son Enos prays for  forgiveness and hears the voice of the Lord. He leads the Nephites until his death. Jarom, Omni, and others keep the records until forced to flee the land of Nephi-Lehi. Amaleki records how Mosiah leads the righteous from the land of Lehi-Nephi to found a new city and accidentally finds the People of Zarahemla. Mosiah learns about Coriantumr, the last Jaredite, and the destruction of the Jaredites from an engraved stone that he interprets. The two groups unite and Mosiah is made King until his death. His son Benjamin becomes king and defends the people against the Lamanites and establishes peace. The Small Plates of Nephi are concluded. The Prophet Mormon comments on his work abbreviating the Nephite history and about the destruction of the Nephites in 385 A.D.

Issue #6 includes 34 full color pages as well as 4 pages of commentary from Michael Allred.

The Premium Edition has replaced the full scriptural text originally included in the first edition with simplified, reworded text, making the story easier for younger readers to follow and also showcasing more of the stunning artwork.

This book covers from 1st Nephi through the Words of Mormon and contains all the artwork from the six issue series as well as bonus artwork that includes black and white art, alternate covers, and original promotional materials created for the first release.
